~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Happy Holidays ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To All,
    Hope everyone has the happiest of holidays with plenty of the essential F's - family, friends, fun, and food. Stay safe and warm, and don't forget to share a giving spirit with those around you.
Fondly,
Catherine
(P.S. I don't intend to start up a blog. This was just the easiest way for me to post for free.)
If you're wondering what I've been up to, here are some 2006 highlights:
New Years in Vegas. I had my big Hold'em (poker) debut after a few months of tutelage under a good friend.
I ran the Rock N' Roll Marathon in Pheonix. My first and, most likely, only.
My baby saw her first snow in Tahoe.
My sister, the baby, graduated from high school.
My mom replaced my sister. Bailey became a new addition to the Wong family.
I said bye to my friends and colleagues at Kaiser - my first full-time job.
I left California.
I drove across country solo. From Berkeley to Chicago via I-80.
Who knew the vast desert lands of Utah could be beautiful? I detoured at a dinasour park.
I spent a week in Wyoming getting wilderness first responder certified with NOLS. The Tetons were my backyard and bison roamed free.
I started med school at Weill Cornell Medical College in NYC. Here I'm standing in front of the Chrysler building during my first exploration walk across town.
Just some inspiration I found while volunteering at the NYC marathon. Some people have incredible determination.
My cousin got married in paradise and I got to be part of it. Left to Right: The Bride, Me the Bridesmaid, and The Maid of Honor.
I'll be spending winter break in Hong Kong with the family. Yay holiday lights and commercial exploitation of santa and snowmen!
I am enjoying med school. There are ups (classmates, medical exposure) and downs (biochemistry) but all and all I think I made a good decision both about med school and about Cornell. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of medicine I'm interested in, but it looks like my interests won't narrow until at least a few years from now.
Happy Holidays!
C
The Cartier building in NYC wishes you love for the holidays.
And something cheezy to start off the holiday season ...
What do snowmen eat for lunch?
    Icebergers!
